How can nutrition and lifestyle changes support me during menopause?
Symptoms
Common symptoms of menopause such as hot flushes can be improved through diet and lifestyle changes.
Weight
Weight gain is experienced by 50% of women who go through menopause. Tailored diet and lifestyle advice can help to manage your weight, whilst ensuring to get the nutrition you need to support your menopause and health. We can also offer weight loss injections as part of a lifestyle plan.
Heart Health
The menopause increases the risk of heart disease. Diet and lifestyle changes can help to reduce this risk by protecting your heart health, reducing blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
Bone Health
As levels of oestrogen fall, the amount of calcium you lose through your bones increases, increasing the risk of osteoporosis. Nutrition and lifestyle changes can help to keep your bones strong and healthy.
Gut Health
Hormonal changes that happen during menopause can influence your gut microbes and some women experience a change in bowel habits or gut symptoms such as bloating, wind or abdominal pain. Nutrition and lifestyle changes can help to ease these symptoms and optimise gut health.
Mental Health
Changes in mood can also be experienced during menopause. Following a nutritionally balanced diet can help to support energy, mood and brain function.
