Nutrition consultations

We provide a true holistic approach to all aspects of hormone health. Whilst getting to know you and your lifestyle, our nutritionist explores the intricacies of the behaviours that may be impacting your health or have impeded your ability to reach your full potential in the past.

Our in-house nutritionist, Emily, is a registered dietitian with a specialist interest in Women’s Health.

Support offered

We can offer dedicated nutrition advice and support for:

How can nutrition and lifestyle changes support me during menopause?

Symptoms

Common symptoms of menopause such as hot flushes can be improved through dietary changes. Some foods can make your symptoms worse, whereas others may help to reduce them.

Weight

During menopause, the amount of muscle mass reduces meaning that your body needs less calories than before. This is why weight gain can be a common experience during menopause. Tailored diet and lifestyle advice can help to manage your weight, whilst maintaining a nutritionally balanced diet to support your general menopause and health.

Heart Health

The menopause increases the risk of heart disease. Diet and lifestyle changes can help to reduce this risk by protecting your heart health, reducing blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Bone Health

As levels of oestrogen fall, the amount of calcium you lose through your bones increases, increasing the risk of osteoporosis. Nutrition and lifestyle changes can help to keep your bones healthy.

Gut Health

Hormonal changes that happen during menopause can influence your gut microbes and some women experience a change in bowel habits or gut symptoms such as bloating, wind or abdominal pain. Nutrition and lifestyle changes can help to ease these symptoms and optimise gut health.

Mental Health

Changes in mood can also be experienced during menopause. Following a nutritionally balanced diet can help to support energy, mood and brain function.
